Supported by: Penang Hokkien Youth Association, (this camp is organize on a non-profit basis)

will like to extend my warm invitation to attend this Speech Training Camp, details as follow:-

Date: 18-9-2010 (12pm - 6:30pm) & 19-9-2010 (8:00am - 6:00pm)
Venue: Penang Hokkien Association 4th Floor Air condition Hall
Fees: RM120 / pax or RM100 / Pax (for group of 3 and above)

Course Language: Mandarin

Fees include: Meals, Notes, PLUS FREE enrollment to 3 months Speech Craft Training Course, (this course will be conducted twice a month for 3 months consecutively at the same venue).
I believe this camp will be benificial to train the speaking skills of your downline to improve their presentation skills.

New Durian

A new jokes I read lately, repost here to share...

I was looking at a bunch durians and told the taukea: "Penangites are interesting ..."

the taukea ask: "what do you mean?"

I said: "don't you think so, the names of these durian are cool"

The taukea smiled and proudly said: "Do you wanna try ling-fung-jiao, it looks small, but is has this strong aroma. If not do you wanna try ling-qing-xia? not only it looks good, it taste bitter sweet."

I said: "alrite! alrite! lets try 2 of each"

Honestly after trying them , they do indeed tasted not bad at all.

And then the taukea said: "Do you wanna try our latest durian brand?"

I said: "You have new brands too!"

"Yes! This new brand is called Koh Tsu Khoon."

I was amazed and ask: "What is so special about this one?"

"This brand is actually not very special, but it has something that all other brand doesn't have."

"err! and what is that?"

The taukea smiled and said: "That is because this brand is BO HOOD(tak dak biji)"

停止“掩耳盗铃”的干预媒体行为

林连玉基金严厉谴责首相署干预媒体运作，并发表种族性投诉，来施压NTV7制作团队，并吁请首相纳吉下令停止这种“掩耳盗铃”的做法，还我国媒体一个自由开放的空间。

林连玉基金会主席杜乾焕表示，即使经过308政治海啸被人民教训后，巫统依然执迷不悟，依然想通过控制媒体、愚化人民的旧手段来合理化自己的行为。因此这证明了巫统主席纳吉虽然频频提出要改革的口号，但是经过这次首相署与首相夫人被揭发直接干预《非谈不可》的编辑内容后，显示了纳吉虚伪的面目与充满霸道性的行为。

杜乾焕认为，公民团体有绝对的义务来捍卫任何能够促进我国民主化的开放空间，而类似《非谈不可》这种具批判性与能够促进民主空间的节目在我国是越来越少，我们各公民团体与媒体工作者应该努力捍卫这块绿洲，并应该以各种更积极的方式来确保它不再受到任何政治干预。

他表示，新闻自由是国家民主改革的重要元素，ntv7新生时事论坛节目《非谈不可》作为一个提供朝野政党与公民团体的对话空间，不仅是推动全民议政与让人民亲身评估朝野议员表现的民主空间，也是促进我国迈向民主化过程的重要平台。

杜乾焕表示，倘若中央政府的媒体政策都一直在朝向加强媒体控制的方向前进的话，我们只会不停地看到各种优秀的新闻工作者因原则与政治干预因素而离开媒体界，而这只会让我国民主化工程停滞不前。

最后他说，在马来西亚现有的政治环境下，尚有各种限制性的法令在压迫着前线的新闻从业员，特别是出版与印刷法令、煽动法令等，所以国阵政府若要展现自己具改革诚意的话，就应该在国会成立特别遴选委员会来全面检讨各种不利媒体自由的法令，废除各媒体的出版准证与电视台执照，并全面性脱售媒体集团股份

国防部耗2750万购女装皮鞋, 潘检伟讥讽大马成为东方鞋都

政府采购合约弊端揭不尽，民主行动党八打灵再也北区国会议员潘俭伟的第四波攻势，瞄准贸消部一项36亿令吉资讯及通讯工艺（ICT）合约，以及国防部耗2750万令吉购买的女装皮鞋。

潘俭伟今午在国会走廊召开记者会表示，虽然他在上周已经接连揭露3组采购怪账，不过没料到的是，政府却没吸取教训，重整财政部采购网站的资料，结果让他发现更多的弊端。

“就在上周四（8日），贸消部终于在采购网上载了唯一的合约资料。掀起疑问的是，该项合约总值36亿令吉，用来提升该部资讯及通讯工艺的保安服务。”

疑似另一项乌龙资料事件

潘俭伟说，该项合约的受惠者是一家名为Business Information Technology有限公司，但他怀疑这是政府的另一项摆乌龙事件，资料输入错误。

最让他感到“特别”的新发现是，国防部把一项2750万令吉的合约，交给一家Syarikat Visi Footwear有限公司，以为国防部的公务员提供女装皮鞋。

他调侃说：“我们知道我国第一夫人（罗斯玛）立志要把马来西亚，打造成为东方鞋都，不过耗资2750万令吉，为公务员提供女装皮鞋，是否实践这个目标的方法？”

Just went back from Langkawi, the duty free paradise, you can enjoy yuour favourite alcoholic drinks there without paying the duty!

However, do feel that it's actually nothing exciting there, it's ideal for an escape from the hectic life, but do not expect an excited vacation there!

PENANG, 槟城！

This is so far a nice place to be... I loved staying here...

From Penang Hill, such a nice mountain, to Kek Lok Si with tallest Guan Yin statue in the world, to Gurney Drive hawker paradise, then to Queensbay Mall, the longest mall in Penang! All this blend together results to a nice paradise for tourist~!

Penang is also known as Silicon Island, with the hi-technology industrial zone situated at the southern part of Penang, Bayan Lepas Industrial Zone, it houses all the big MNC such as Intel, AMD, Motorola, Seagate, Agilent, Robert Bosch, Osram, Renesas, etc.

We need to take a ferry from Vancouver to Victoria Island, and Butchard garden is located in that island, a very nice garden...

I went there 2 times during my study in USA, the first time I went there together with ex Penang Chief Minister, Tan Sri Dr. Koh Tsu Koon.

Niagara Falls

When I study in USA, I travels around the nearby attraction
places, one of the interesting places that I enjoy very much is Niagara Falls....

It's really a nice place, we drive there from Toronto, Canada, the fall is really fabulous... besides that, the garden in front of the fall is also very relaxing and nice... I love the tulips flower garden a lot... tulips is a nice flower...

A nice island, BALI~!

I went to Bali last year, I would said Bali is a nice place to escape, to relax....

Bali is a must place to visit if you're interested in diving. I went for 2 days diving when I'm in Bali last year.

Besides, I really enjoy the seaside restaurant, the table is set on the sandy beach facing the beautiful seaview!

Macau, next to hong kong~!

Last year, I have been to Macau for 2 days, I enjoy the portugese egg tart there.

But honestly, Macau main attractive are: Casinos and sauna, which were not of my interest.

People go to Macau mainly for gamble or prostitution.

Hong Kong, The Pearl of Orient~!

This time, will introduce you one of my favourite and frequent travelling places - Hong Kong.

Hong Kong has a high living standard, hence the food, transport, etc expenses there is quite expenses.

The Peak Tram - This is the old fashion tram that will carry you up to Victoria Peak, which is one of the famous attraction point in hong kong. There is a mall on the Victoria Peak, other than that, it's a residential area, a high-end residential.

The big buddha, this buddha is made by Bronze. I think this is top of 3 biggest bronze buddha in the world. Now, you can reach this buddha by taking 360 cable car, which has a nice and wide view throughout the journey.

This flower were given to Hong Kong by China on the date that its handed back from British to China. Everyday morning, there is a police squad to raise the china and hong kong flag here, every evening they will lower the flag and keep it.

There were also nice beaches besides this monument.

Let's take a moment to look at our own country - Malaysia.

I'm going down to KL, Hotel Nikko to attend my friend wedding dinner during the last weekend.

Besides, attending the wedding dinner on Saturday night, I went for lunch on Sunday at Jogoya, in Starhill Plaza, bukit bintang, KL. This is so far, the buffett with the most variety that I have ever ate.

You should try it if you're visiting KL...

北京。。。

去年到过北京，觉得还算不错，有很多历史古迹让我们参观。

吃过全聚德北京烤鸭，还真的很让人回味。

我个人比较喜欢的景点：-

1. 万里长城- 还真的很宏伟，是世界七大奇观之一。从上面往下看，风景还真的不错。虽然爬上长城是累了点，但是我觉得值得。

2. 天坛 - 是古代皇帝拜祭天，祖先的场合。

3. 故宫（紫禁城）
非常宏观的王宫。

总的来说，北京真的有很多历史性的景点。但，我个人觉得食物，除了北京鸭外，是不大合我胃口。我到过中国的：广州，香港，澳门，上海，海南，等。
我还是比较喜欢上海，尤其是杭州的西湖，真的很美。。。下次，再介绍上海。。。

海南之旅

上星期刚从海南旅游回来。。。

我到过的景点，火山口，动物园，天涯海角石，东山岭等。但是，很后悔，没去到著名的观音。

这叫 ‘天涯海角’石头。。。我是做船去看的，因为中国人相信走路去看不好义兆 ‘走到天涯海角’象征着你玩完了。。。

其实觉得海南还真的不是很好玩，因为它和我住的地方檳城挺相似的。。。都是岛屿气候。

名胜地也还真的不是很吸引人，土产如咖啡，椰糖等，檳城一大堆。

我曾经去过这么多为，海南虽然不算差，可也真的没有什么值得留念的地方。

可是它胜在很多自然景色。。。
